The joys of smelling delicious chocolate chip cookies in your kitchen! Is there any better, comforting feeling?
Chocolate chip cookies on a detox? YES!
I was craving a sweet treat and I came up with a healthy spin and toxin free alternative!
Arbonne Chocolate Chip Cookies (w/protein powder. Vegan & Gluten Free!)
2 cups brown rice flour
1 scoop Arbonne Chocolate Protein Powder
1 scoop Arbonne Vanilla Protein Powder
1 scoop Arbonne Fiber Booster
1/2 teaspoon celtic sea salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/3 cup grapeseed oil
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup agave nectar
1 cup dark chocolate chips (I use the “Enjoy Life” dairy, nut and soy free)
1/4 cup chopped pecans
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix w/a fork to combine together.
Stir together the wet ingredients in a smaller bowl. (Don’t over mix).
Add wet ingredients into dry and mix together.
Add chocolate chips and pecans
Form small balls (I use a small cookie scoop) and press onto parchment paper (or foil) lined making sheet or a silicone baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 7-10 minutes. Cool and serve!
I was so excited to see these come out of the oven! They were a bit crumbly when i tried to dive in, just out of the oven, so i let them cool and them froze them on a (different) baking sheet. Then I put them all into one container and left them in the freezer for two reasons. 1. so they are easily accessible and hardened 2. so i wouldn't eat the entire 2 dozen in one sitting. They are THAT good.
So, moving on to other things in my life, (just so hard to get passed the cookies!). I also discovered this amazing treat from Trader Joes. I made a chicken salad for lunch and wanted to add a crunch. I found this multi-grain crisp bread that did the trick! So delicious and completely clean! Pick up some next time you are in TJ's. You could put a bit of almond butter on for a great afternoon snack.
By the way, the above recipe has "arbonne protein powder" as one of the key ingredients. I have tried pretty much every protein powder on the market
, and have found that this is the one for me! It is delicious, nutritious, vegan, clean and can be put into almost any smoothie or baked good. I use it all the time!
If you have been in the market for a new protein powder but don't know where to start, please take a look at the chart below. If you are interested in trying it, please visit my website eleanor.duelley.arbonne.com
